About RTC

Reston Town Center originated in 1990 between Library and Presidents Streets with the iconic Mercury Fountain at its core. In 1993, an open-air glass pavilion was added making RTC a community destination for shopping, dining, and special events.

Today, Reston Town Center has expanded to become an acclaimed outdoor venue offering more than 50 retailers, 35 restaurants, and a multi-screen cinema. With the addition of the Silver Line Metro in 2022, RTC continues to elevate the community’s shopping and dining scene, making it a year round destination.
