Holidays & Ice Skating
Holiday festivities and traditions are plenty at Reston Town Center. Whether you enjoy taking a spin around the Pavilion ice rink or a leisurely ride around the Center in a horse-drawn carriage, there is something to do for everyone!
IT'S SNOWTIME!
“It’s Snowtime!” at the annual Reston Holiday Parade (rain or shine), starting at 11 AM the day after Thanksgiving. The one-of-a-kind, one-hour, half-mile parade along Market Street also welcomes the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. After the parade, enjoy the twinkling lights and festive décor in the Town Center from a horse-drawn carriage ride or take the kids around town on a mini-train ride. The day is capped off with our annual Tree Lighting at 6 PM.
The parade bells are back! Be sure to stop by one of our pick up locations the morning of the parade. Bells are available while supplies last.

Holiday Parade Presented by
SKATE THE RTC PAVILION
RTC offers public skating daily with extended hours for the Holidays. The skate shop is stocked with over 500 pairs of skates ranging from size 8 toddler through men’s size 15, in both figure and hockey styles. For the beginner skaters, try the double bladed, flat edge skates to walk across the ice until you’re ready to glide into a single bladed skate, available in size Youth 8-13!
PRIVATE RENTALS
Morning Private Rentals include:
- Private Ice Time
- $400 / 1 hour – admission and skate rental for up to 20 guests
- $700 / 1 hour – admission and skate rental for up to 100 guests
- $1,250 / 2 hours – admission and skate rental for up to 100 guests
- Hours are available 7 days per week. Holiday hours and availability may vary
- 1 hour times: 10:15am to 11:15am or 9am to 10am (only if later slot is filled)
- 2 hour times: 9:15am to 11:15am
- Additional guests $14 per person including skate rental with a maximum capacity of 175 guests
- Skate hosts to assist with your event
Evening Private Rentals include:
- Private Ice Time
- $700 / 1 hour and $1,250 / 2 hours
- Sunday – Thursday (non-holiday dates): 9:15pm to 10:15pm or 9:15pm to 11:15pm
- Admission and skate rental for up to 100 guests
- Additional guests $14 per person including skate rental with a maximum capacity of 175 guests

Terms and Conditions applicable to all private rentals:
- 50% deposit required to reserve a private rental
- 50% remaining balance will be due the day of the event
- All sales are non-refundable.
- CANCELLATION POLICY: If the event is cancelled for any reason, we will work with you to reschedule the event prior to the rink closing for the season
- Food and beverages – Cake/cupcakes/donuts/cookies and bottled water/coffee/hot chocolate are allowed to be served (must be pre-boxed and you provide cup, etc.). Please consider working with one of our neighboring restaurants for food and beverage service before or after your group’s event. View the full list of restaurants HERE.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Please complete the PRIVATE LESSON inquiry form HERE with the skater’s information and our coaches will contact you directly to review pricing and schedule lessons. Admission and rental are not included in lesson fees. Reston Town Center Ice Skating Pavilion is not offering group lessons this season. Any questions may be directed to restoniceskating@gmail.com.
