An annual tradition on the Friday after Thanksgiving since 1990, the Reston Holiday Parade has grown in every way! Macy’s-style balloons, musicians and marching bands, dancers, antique cars, community groups, and more make up this one-of-a-kind, one-hour procession welcoming the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus for the season.
The 2013 Parade Theme - “Destination: Reston” - invites adults and kids alike to join the fun via trains, planes, feets, and bikes!
This year the Masters of Ceremonies are Sonya Gavankar McKay, TV and
Newseum Personality, and Devon Lucie, Channel 8. And we are honored
to have the unofficial Mayor of Reston, Joe Ritchey as Grand Marshal.
No matter the weather, dress appropriately and cheer
loudly – the Reston Holiday Parade is held rain or shine.
