An annual tradition on the Friday after Thanksgiving since 1990, the Reston Holiday Parade has grown in every way! Macy’s-style balloons, musicians and marching bands, dancers, antique cars, community groups, and more make up this one-of-a-kind, one-hour procession welcoming the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus for the season.
The 2012 Parade Theme - “Come Out to Play!” - invites games of every shape and size to join the fun and bring out the child in everyone.
This year the Masters of Ceremony are Sonya Gavankar McKay, WJLA TV & Newseum Personality, and Douglas Corbett, Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce member. And we are honored to have retired South Lakes High School Principal Bruce Butler as Grand Marshal.
No matter the weather, dress appropriately and cheer loudly – the Reston Holiday Parade is held rain or shine.
